Fast, Precise and Reproducible Particle Size Analysis
The Air Jet Screen SLS 200 is designed for fast, precise and reproducible particle size analysis of dry screening materials in laboratories and production monitoring environments.

With an analysis range of approximately 20 to 4000 µm, the SLS 200 provides controlled air-jet screening for a wide range of dry materials. Sample quantities of up to approximately 500 g can be processed using Ø200 mm sieves, depending on material density and properties. With the optional Ø400 mm adapter, sample quantities of up to approximately 2 kg can be analysed.
Key Benefits

- Reproducible screening conditions through controlled vacuum and programmable parameters.
- Wide analysis ranges from approximately 20 to 4000 µm.
- High sample capacity of up to approximately 500 g with Ø200 mm sieves.
- Larger sample processing of up to approximately 2 kg with the Ø400 mm adapter.
- Reduced screening time through enhanced edge-area dispersion.
- Improved particle dispersion for more consistent screening results.
- SOP-based process control for standardised laboratory procedures.
- Digital particle-size evaluation using Rosin-Rammler and linear distributions.
- Reduced electrostatic agglomeration with optional ionisation.
- Moisture control for hygroscopic materials with optional air preheating.
- Flexible sieve configurations for different sample volumes and separation requirements.
- Stainless steel construction for demanding laboratory applications.
- Digital data handling with USB connectivity and optional analytical-balance integration.

Accessories for Screening Machines
The following additional components are optionally available for the SLS:
- Industrial-quality vacuum cleaner for generating the required vacuum.
- Cyclone to collect the fines or relieve the filter bag of the vacuum cleaner.
- Adapter for holding Ø400 mm test sieves.
- Adapter for holding 7 test sieves of Ø100 mm each. This option enables the operator to create a particle size distribution with 7 separation steps in a single operation.
- Air preheating to raise the temperature of the intake air so that hygroscopic products can also be classified.
- Ionisation device for reducing the electrostatic charge of individual particles, especially during the screening of plastics.
- Underframes to accommodate the SLS, including accessories for screening machines, and a sound enclosure for the vacuum cleaner.

| Ø400 mm sieve adapter | Approx. 20–4000 µm | Up to approx. 2000 g* |
| Ø100 mm sieve adapter | Multiple sieve fractions | Up to 7 sieves |
*Actual sample quantity depends on material density and material properties.
Designed for Demanding Laboratory Applications
The SLS 200 features a stainless-steel housing and stainless-steel sieve holder, making it suitable for demanding laboratory and production-monitoring environments.
Its robust construction supports repeated use where equipment must withstand frequent screening cycles and challenging sample-processing conditions.
Optional Accessories
A range of accessories extends the capabilities of the SLS 200:
Industrial-Quality Vacuum Cleaner
Provides the required vacuum for air-jet screening.
Cyclone
Collects fine particles and can reduce the load on the vacuum cleaner filter bag.
Ø400 mm Sieve Adapter
Allows larger test sieves to be used for processing sample quantities of up to approximately 2 kg, depending on material density and properties.
Ø100 mm Sieve Adapter
Accommodates up to seven Ø100 mm test sieves, allowing up to seven particle-size separation steps to be performed in a single operation.
Air Preheating
Raises the intake-air temperature to help reduce moisture absorption when analysing hygroscopic materials.
Ionisation Device
Reduces electrostatic charging of particles and helps minimise agglomeration, particularly when screening plastics.
Underframe
Provides a dedicated support structure for the SLS 200 and its accessories.
Sound Enclosure
An optional sound enclosure can accommodate the vacuum cleaner to help reduce operating noise.
