Chemal is a synthetic foam cloth for final polishing with oxide suspensions. It can be used with both acidic, alkaline, and neutral oxide polishing suspensions. This includes fumed silica suspensions, colloidal silica suspensions, and alumina suspensions.
It uses low forces; 15N on a 30 mm sample. For the best result, use plenty of suspensions to avoid running dry.
